A view of our fine club house. Originally built as the Helmshore Liberal club
in 1888, and extended very quickly in 1889. Bought by the local mill company
- Porrits for a works social club, and then when the mill closed it was bought
by Hardmans in July 1972 for same use. It was then purchased by the members as
a private members club in 1980's.
A view of our fine club house looking across the bowling green, one of
the best in Lancashire.
Our excellent bar steward, John who server excellent Thwaities Beers,
Mild, Bitter, Smooth and Carling Lager, all on draught. Dart Snooker
and cribbage are played.
There is no jukebox or bingo played.
You see young lads do understand what chalk is for!!
